They read her diary within their English lessons, and we have taken some to the museum during a visit to Amsterdam. I was moved to tears, too. sky-blu-pinkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00908990947169712031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3297735678072126906.post-40692049164554179492014-05-05T17:46:05.464+02:002014-05-05T17:46:05.464+02:00One of the most emotional experiences for me was w...One of the most emotional experiences for me was walking into the attic room where Anne Frank wrote her diary. Anne will always be free as long there's a child being given, picking, reading her book - The Anne Frank's Diary - and learn that from very early age, in your own power, words, example you too can make a difference.
I read mine for the first time when I was 12 and gave it to my children to read around the same age. I me it changed as I can tell you that by asking more about her it was, somehow, a loss of inocence. My children weren't so lucky as due to the development and access of information they pretty much know about what happened, the consequences etc. But they still appreciate reading and discussing it and sharing.
So I'm sure one day we travel there we'll join the line. We will just HAVE TO.
Wishing you a lovely day and week ahead,
TeresaTeresahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15706070037835903316noreply@blogger.com
