hanging on .............

*
as
you go through
LIFE
you've got
to see
the valleys
as well as
the peak

Neil Young

*
I was a big fan
of Neil Young's
music
when I was young
( hihi I was YOUNG )
anyway

On Pinterest there was
an image
of one of Neil's albums
record albums
and I went to look
for his music
on You Tube
and Oh  Oh OH
I still love that music
and after all this time
I could sing all the songs
still knew all the lyrics.
BUT
than I saw
interviews with him
and
started to read about his life

He is a very inspiring man
and still is a great musician

Surprise
from the past .

Is there music
from
YOUR
past
you love to hear

?

  1. My dear Francis! It is so nice to see you post! HOW ARE YOU? Yes, I have much music from my past that I just love, especially THE BEATLES! I danced and still do when I hear them.

How are you my friend? I have not seen you visit me anymore, and I have come to figure that many people just stop for whatever reasons. But I enjoy seeing anything that you have to say and hope that all is well with you.

    HANG IN THERE! Anita

  2. Neal Young is one of my favorites. I don't consider him to be from my past because I never stopped listening to him. I have many of his albums on my phone and smile each time a Neal Young song comes on. We saw him in concert about 10 years ago in Santa Barbara at an outdoor venue. He was fantastic.

  3. Francis,
When I was young, I used to listen to all my brother's Neil Young albums. I think I could memorize all the lyrics because I listened to them so much. I love his music, and could you listen to "Harvest Moon" for me sometime? That is Nel and her husband's song, and they danced to it on their wedding day. It is so beautiful.

I also loved songs from Motown growing up. Those oldies sure made me smile, and they still do. I love all music, Francis, even the old classics like Frank Sinatra.

I'm so glad you like the great musician, Neil Young, too.

    Love,
    ~Sheri

  4. I believe it is so important to revisit what or who you enjoyed when you were young, or whenever that person of thing made impact in your life. Because when you do the clock stops and you travel back into that instant with the wisdom of today. It's like an embrace to the old you with the kindness that you learned towards yourself.
I like Music. stop. I like the Musics I listened when I was young and I like those sounds that were everywhere the past Summer. I like to see the passing years and Music, and Singers, come and go... and I'm here to enjoy it. Them.
But on "old days" the music was music. Now it has too much related to it for us to pay attention JUST to the music if you know what I mean.

There's a quote by Neil I can relate to:

Back then people closed their eyes and listened to music. Today there's a lot of images that go with the music. A lot of music is crap and it's all commercial and the images are all trying to sell the record.

Wishing you a lovely weekend. With Music, Memories and most important Yourself. Happy and Cheerful!
