For Else

When I was a teacher
I had both her sons
in my class
The boys are now
7 and 11 years old

lost her husband
last monday
he died in the Alps
in a ski-accident.
he was only
 40 years young

I think about them
all day
The sun is stil shining
everything goes on
not for Else
and her boys

  1. It will go on for Elise and her boys. Your love and prayers will help them overcome the grief and treasure the Life shared, though brief.

    Feel my warm hug!

  2. Thinking of you all at this sad time, 40 is no age at all.

    Bee happy x

  3. Oh Francis, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend's husband. I too just lost my niece, and she was only 43, and then another sweet family member just passed away. Life is so precious, and I am thinking of you and Else and her boys today. Sending love your way,

  4. Haar wereld staat stil....
Lief om daar even bij stil te staan.

  5. So sorry to hear of your friend's husband's death -and so young. My father died suddenly too, at 48. It's tough, but you always have the beautiful memories. My prayers with Else and her boys.

First of all, you probably put up this new post this morning (my time) after I visited all the blog posts that came up on my roll....

My dear, I am so sorry to hear of this tragedy. Too young indeed. I had to substitute teach the other day in my former school because my colleague had to attend the funeral of the father of one of her third grade boys. In my tenure at that school, we had so many deaths of children and parents.

I am well my dearest; I am so happy with my mouse calender and something will be going RIGHT BACK TO YOU after this weekend. I have an art show and I have been working so hard to get my art done AND write for my writing class while filling in some Etsy orders!

My husband just loved the calender too because he loves little creatures too.

Your heart is filled my dear, with sadness, but remember, writing is a way to embrace IT ALL. AND YOU ARE GOING TO DO IT, aren't you.....

  7. Good morning precious writer....just popped in to say BONJOUR! Anita
